Erfurt World Cup

Last weekend saw Daniel Greig and Sophie Muir travel to Erfurt, Germany for the last regular world cup of the season.

This world cup cosisted of the sprint events of the 500m and 1000m.

Sophie skated a 39.87, 500m in the ladies B division, finishing in 5th place, but it is understood that she withdrew from the 1000m with an illness.

On Saturday, Daniel Greig skated a 36.40, 500m to finish 7th (of 17) in the men's B division, then posted a 1:12.69, 1000m to finish in 10th (of 16).

Sunday saw Daniel contest another 500m, posting a 36.97 to take out 12th position in B division. Daniel did not compete in the final 1000m distance.

This weekend will see Daniel and Brooke Lochland compete in Moscow at the World Junior Championships.

This will be Daniel's second Junior Championships and it will be Brooke's debut for Australia at such an international event. Good luck.
